Look Back.
Week two.
Monday to Friday. How it felt, what I said I’d do, what I did.
How’d I do?
I personally felt everything was shit, but I’m like that as a person. What I really took away was that I did a little better this week than I did the week before. Not much, but I know I stepped it up a bit: I caught the train a little earlier Friday and was able to do a little bit more. I added Tuesday, I think, and felt OK about it.
I actually felt good enough to go for a cardio day Sunday but demurred for mental reasons. I think I’ll try again next week.
With all the walking I do, getting in long runs for endurance will be more important than VO2. Still a month out. If I can get on the treadmill next Sunday, October 18, to test my legs, I can feel good about myself.
Same workout, a week apart.

Hevy, “Friday Night Firefight” both weeks. The 185 single was to failure. Week one’s Look Back said “next time I’ll take an earlier train.”
Monday to Friday.
Train to the gym Tuesday and Friday: lift, and treadmill 5K work.
Lifted both days: Tuesday 8:47–9:40pm, Friday 7:43–9:23pm.
Treadmill neither day. It was the last thing in both workouts.
7.3 miles walked Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.
Eat sunrise to sunset, every day.
Not on the record this week.
Wawa Wednesday: the weekly dissertation progress report.
Wednesday, 8:57pm: the outline, Introduction to Data Collection.
Friday: two new sources noted, at 12:01pm and 5:11pm.
Saturday and Sunday are planning days: Strategy Saturday, then the Sunday session that sets the week. They aren’t counted. Dotted: not on the record.
*“A little better” undersells it. Two lifts on plan where week one had one. The same Friday workout started two hours earlier, ran 41 minutes longer, and the deadlift went from 135 for five to 185 for one. Treadmill closed out both workouts and never got reached. Write moved on its day and again Friday.
Three things on the screen.
- Treadmill first, then the weights.Tuesday and Friday, out the door by 6:30.
- Sunday, October 18: the long run.On the treadmill. Test the legs.
- A bedtime, kept. The one habit this week that isn’t in the gym.
